Unity Beatdown for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
Co-Q: Boo Boo and Mulcahy
Pax: Nails, Irish Springs, Red, Bullock, Patch, Hedgehog, Mulcahy, Juice, Casum, Tidwell, Johnny, Pixar, Tucky, Mole, Mr. Belding, Poodle, Sipe, Brute, Boo Boo
The Beatdown was 3 Movements based on the Church’s story:
1st Movement: One Church
Mulcahy asked trivia questions about things all Christians share to one group of 3 while the rest Rifle Carried around in a circle. Right answers led to block merkins, curls, and block swings. Wrong answers resulted in Manmakers.
2nd Movement: Division/Diversity
Boo Boo asked trivia questions about things specific to the Catholic or Protestant traditions to one group of 3 while all Pax did 1 minute of merkins, squats, big boys, carolina dry docks. Right answers after that minute led to a second minute of side straddle hops or a short jog. Wrong answers led to a second minute of burpees.
3rd Movement: Recognizing Our Unity in Christ
Each group ran 3 laps around the school. During each lap a different member of the group shared about their faith journey and what it means to them now.
Ended with circle of trust. Prayers for Pinewood recovering from injury, Red’s mom’s 70th bday, Colonel’s brother, and Johnny’s cousin (think I got that right).
Followed by 2nd F with coffee, scones, and biscuits in the parking lot. Everyone stuck around for 2nd F.
