Boot camp style workout.
Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc. Then proceed to the playground equipment and/or field for running mixed with strength training. Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.
SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Executive Diner on Sylvania.
Fun and Games was the theme today. Not the most challenging workout physically, but we did get some work in and had a little fun along the way.
Warm-Up – SSH, windmills and chain breakers
The Price is Right. I asked a series of questions about prices of items, your exercise depended on if you were over or under
First 3 questions – Guess is over – 10 American Hammers (4 is 1), Guess is under – 20 Hello Dollies
Next 3 questions – Guess is over – 15 Carolina Dry Docks, Guess is under – 20 Dips
Final 3 questions – Guess is over – 10 lunges (2 is 1), Guess is under – 10 speed skaters (2 is 1)
Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader. Split everyone up into 2 teams. Your exercises depended on if you were correct or incorrect.
5 questions per round
Round 1 – Incorrect – 5 burpees, 10 merkins, 15 LBC’s, Correct- 0 burpees, 5 merkins, 10 LBC’s
Round 2 – Incorrect -5 donkey kicks, 10 hand-release merkins, 15 American Hammers (2 is 1), Correct – 0 donkey kicks, 5 hand-release merkins, 10 American Hammers (2 is 1)
Round 3 – Incorrect – 5 inch worms, 10 V-Ups; 15 Jump squats, Correct – 0 inch worms, 5 V-Ups; 10 Jump squats
Round 4 – Incorrect – 5 diamond merkins; 10 plank jacks, 15 air presses, Correct – 0 diamond merkins; 5 plank jacks, 10 air presses
Round 5 – Incorrect – 5 narrow merkins, 10 big boy sit ups, 15 squat jumps, Correct – 0 narrow merkins, 5 big boy sit ups, 10 squat jumps
Everyone did end-up passing and are officially Smarter than a Fifth Grader. But I think maybe at a low B level!
